If you help lead a “Friends of” park group, join us and The Trust for Public Land for a Zoom gathering on Feb 9.
In October, The Trust for Public Land and your Saint Paul Parks Conservancy hosted the first gathering of park “friends groups” at Frogtown Community Center. Friends of Upper Landing, Mears Park, Pedro Park, Wacouta Commons Park, Swede Hollow and Midway Peace Park, as well as leadership from District Council 10 Como Park shared a lively supper and talked fundraising, fiscal agents, infrastructure, park safety, rogue gardening and yes…squirrels.
The Trust for Public Land (TPL) and your Saint Paul Parks Conservancy are partnering as supportive non-government organizations helping groups establish themselves and become stronger.
We will reconvene the group at 5:30 p.m., Feb 9 via Zoom. The agenda is still being formed, but park safety and fundraising are on the list.
Contact us to receive the Zoom invitation and passcode.
Please let us know if you have an agenda item or have questions.
