Ellison is an urban planner for a small consulting firm, Swanson Haskamp Consulting. Her work focuses on assisting both public and private clients with land use, entitlements, demographic analysis, mapping and market research.
Ellson feels parks are important because they are a tangible place that signify the quality of our collective civic efforts: bringing our communities together; improving our health and well-being; and adding beauty to the built environment.
As a resident of St. Paul, her family frequents her neighborhood parks almost daily. Depending upon the weather, company, and the season she rotates her preferred parks. The variety is one of the things her and her family loves most about Saint Paul Parks!
Ellison has also volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters – where her and my little were one of the longest matches in the state while in the program. Ellison has also been involved with the Down Syndrome Association of Minnesota.
