Coming Home to Swede Hollow on September 23rd

Drop by Friday, September 23rd between 5:00 – 7:00 pm to see the new historical interpretive signs and enjoy live music.

Join us to dedicate new signs that interpret the place that indigenous and immigrant relatives called home. Gather at “Swede Henge” mound inside the park entrance at Drewry Tunnel, Beaumont Street. Parking available at Hope Community Academy and St. Paul Brewing Co. This event is held in partnership with Friends of Swede Hollow, Lower Phalen Creek Project, Dayton’s Bluff Community Council, Payne-Phalen Community Council, and Saint Paul Parks and Recreation.

Event Timeline

5-6:30: Walk the trail, view the signs, enjoy live music by Karen Quiroz, Mau Lenz of Mama Diablo, John Knowles (the “singing cowboy”), Dan Turpening, Nancy Sancelli Guertin and Agnelo Rulli and the Connemara Patch band among others

6:15: Acknowledgments

6:45-7:00: Gather for “the Glow” of the setting sun
