Join the Swede Hollow Park Stewards

Help keep this natural area beautiful and build community connections. Register for upcoming events on October 6th and 19th.

Swede Hollow Park has many friends. If you are among those who like “getting your hands dirty” to improve the park, please join the Swede Hollow Park Stewards – a joint effort of the Friends of Swede Hollow, Urban Roots, the Saint Paul Parks Conservancy, Lower Phalen Creek Project, the Payne-Phalen District Council, and Saint Paul Parks and Recreation. Our major work will be the ongoing management of invasive species (aka “displaced plant relatives”) such as garlic mustard, Burdock, and Buckthorn, as well as regular trash pickup to keep the park looking good. Tools and training will be provided (and yes, there will be t-shirts!) Please join us for one (or both) of these upcoming events:

October 6th, 5-6:30 pm Restoration Event. Register here.

October 19th, 5-6:30 pm Plant and Safety Training. Register here.

Both events will meet at the Swede Henge mound near the Drewry Tunnel entrance off Beaumont Street.

If you’d like to be a Swede Hollow Park Steward, but these dates don’t work, join the team for upcoming events and trainings.
