New Skate Feature at Battle Creek Park

Half-pipe is an instant hit with skaters of all ages!

This month Saint Paul Parks and Recreation opened a new half-pipe skate ramp at Battle Creek Recreation Center. When the idea was proposed by a community member, Jane Prince, Saint Paul City Council, Ward 7 and the Parks and Recreation Department teamed up with community partners City of Skate and 3rd Lair SkatePark & SkateShop to make this project happen! Skate parks are some of the most popular amenities in Saint Paul, so youth and adult attendees, including Mayor Melvin Carter , braved the November weather to celebrate and to be some of the first to try out this new ramp!

This is the 6th skate park feature for Saint Paul Parks and Recreation, and the only site with a half-pipe.
