Our newest director is a marketing whiz who grew up in our parks!
Ann Folkman is the Conservancy’s newest board member, starting her term in January this year. She is the Chief Marketing Officer for AB CarVal. She joined AB CarVal in 2004 and is responsible for leading the group’s branding and marketing strategy and activities. Before joining AB CarVal, Ann was Director of Public Relations for Select Comfort. Before that, she owned her own marketing firm and spent several years in marketing communications at Padilla Speer Beardsley and with Burlington Northern. Ann is an active community volunteer who has helped carry out the missions of Habitat for Humanity, St. Catherine University, and the Friends of the Saint Paul Public Library. In addition, she has served as a board leader for Urban Ventures and Convent of the Visitation School and on the Board of Advisors College of Arts and Sciences for St. Thomas University.
Ann has fond memories of playing at Margaret Park on the East Side when she visited her grandparents and growing up in the parks around her childhood home.
