You Are Needed to Build a New Playground

Dunning Playground gets a reboot with volunteer build Oct 11-13

Help build a playground in partnership with Saint Paul Parks Conservancy, Saint Paul Parks and Recreation, Sierra, UnitedHealthcare, and KABOOM! ! Volunteers are needed each day, but our biggest need is Friday, October 13. Learn more and sign up here.

Who: A total of approximately 250 volunteers from the Saint Paul community, Sierra, and UnitedHealthcare!

Work is available for volunteers of all levels of skill and ability.

**Please note – All youth under the legal working age for this state will be welcome to participate in youth activities but will not be able to participate in building in the construction areas.**

When: Wednesday, October 11 – Friday, October 13, 2023 8am-3pm

Where: Dunning Park – 1221 Marshall Avenue Saint Paul, MN 55104

What’s Provided: Breakfast, lunch and water will be provided. Gloves and other safety materials will be provided for the projects that require them.

What to Wear: The playground build will happen rain or shine. Please come dressed for the weather. Closed-toe shoes are required; sneakers or work boots that you don’t mind getting dirty are advisable. Please leave valuables at home as secure storage is not available on site.

What You’ll Be Doing: Volunteers may engage in a variety of tasks during Build week, including, but not limited to: assembling and helping install playground equipment, digging holes, moving mulch, mixing concrete, sorting playground hardware, and playspace beautification efforts.
