The company is delivering $287,000 worth of fitness supplies to Saint Paul Parks!
The Conservancy’s request to fitness leader Peloton for support of rec center fitness programs as enthusiastically granted.
A 53ft truck will deliver 3,000 fitness bands, yoga bands, water bottles, and 200 heart monitors and headphones. These items will help meet the growing demand for fitness programs across Saint Paul’s 26 rec centers. The water bottles will be incentives for the annual January indoor fitness season launch.
“This is an extraordinary opportunity to get fitness equipment in the hands of the residents who need it most,” said Conservancy executive director Michael-jon Pease. “As we heard from a testimonial at our Bad Luck Ball fundraising event, the fact that fitness memberships at our rec centers are only $30 per year is a major step toward health equity in this community. And with the huge increase in participation following the introduction of free 10U sports registrations, family members are looking to Saint Paul parks for fitness opportunities for all ages.”
