Irvine Park Fountain Restoration

The board of Historic Irvine Park Association has been hard at work improving this beloved green space – one of Saint Paul’s first parks, platted 175 years ago. Working with the Conservancy, Historic Irvine Park Association has conducted community engagement events and surveyed hundreds of park users and surrounding residents about what improvements and activities they want for the park.

With they input, they have raised funds to plant new trees and put both sweat equity and funds into improving the gazebo. They have started a new concert series to bring vibrancy and visitors to the park.

And importantly, they have raised $100,000 toward a $150,000 goal to restore the central fountain. Thanks to sales tax funds from Saint Paul Parks and Rec, essential electrical work can begin this summer to get the fountain lights working again and make sure all infrastructure is up to date. Metalwork restoration will begin in 2025.

Do you have a special memory of Irvine Park? Perhaps you or someone you love was married there. Or you are one of the many people who visit the park for a quiet picnic or break from work on busy 7th Street or downtown. Help reach the next $50,000 goal with your gift today through the Irvine Park giving link.
