We’re thrilled to announce that synthetic turf is being installed this week on the brand-new multi-purpose fields at the North End Community Center. This state-of-the-art surface is made possible through an NFL Grassroots Field Project grant and the generous support of the Minnesota Vikings.
The new turf will transform the formerly soggy grass baseball fields into a year-round, all-weather sports space, allowing kids and athletes to enjoy soccer, football, and other sports as soon as the snow melts. 🌧️☀️ With its advanced drainage system, the field will dry quickly after rain, providing even more opportunities for play in the community.
Thank you to the NFL and the MN Vikings for their commitment to enhancing our local parks and recreation spaces. The Community Center building should be completed this month for a December opening. Stay tuned for updates as we complete this exciting project.
