Meet Ralphie: Saint Paul Parks’ New Four-Legged Ambassador

Saint Paul Parks has officially gone to the dogs — in the very best way possible.

Meet Ralphie, the lovable beagle now serving as the official Park Ambassador for Saint Paul Parks. Owned by Lisa and Gregg Egnash, Ralphie is already a familiar face across the city’s parks and trails, proudly representing the joy, connection, and adventure that parks bring to our community.

A true Saint Paul parks pup, Ralphie can often be found sniffing out adventure at Overlook Park near home, enjoying long walks around Como Lake, or making the rounds at favorite dog-friendly destinations like North High Bridge Dog Park and Battle Creek Regional Park.

As Park Ambassador, Ralphie’s main responsibility is simple: enjoy and report from as many Saint Paul parks as possible. Through social media and the hashtag #StPaulBarks, Ralphie will help spotlight parks, trails, dog parks, and the people who make these spaces special.

Ralphie will also make special public appearances on behalf of Saint Paul Parks, starting with Party for the Parks 2026. From helping inaugurate new dog parks to encouraging responsible park behavior. Ralphie is ready to take his ambassador duties very seriously.

Most importantly, Ralphie now holds lifetime “Wagging Rights” to the title of Saint Paul Parks Ambassador.

Be sure to follow Ralphie’s adventures around the city and keep an eye out for his next park appearance.
